For the past few summers, we’ve headed north to Malcolm Island in the traditional territories of the Kwakwaka’wakw people. It’s a magical place that I fall deeply in love with every time we visit. This August was no different.

Many of us go there to camp by the ocean, to hopefully see whales, and most importantly to decompress from the city and reconnect with friends. Here are a few photos from our visit:
